Tornado Relief

Bonsai Kathy Coordinator

Moderator's Page

5-12-03

Hi everyone,
With all the bad weather that has come through, NJ asked for
volunteers to help with relief for our clay family. So I told her
I'd be glad to help. She asked me to post to the list that I'll be
the tornado relief coordinator.

The way we'll work it is if someone has a need, Belinda we know
about you honey, if you'll get up with me and give me an address
I'll give it out to folks to send you things you need. Also let me
know what needs replacing. Instead of wasting postage mailing to me
and then me mailing out to whoever is in need, let me know what you
have that you can spare and I'll check to make sure it's not already
been sent. I'll keep a list of needs and cross off each as the
person notifies me that they are sending something out. If someone
finds that after saying they can donate an item, that they have a
problem sending it out, please just let me know so I can put that
item back on the list.

This way we're not doubling up on things but the person will
hopefully end up with what they need to start their life again.
Those that can't donate material items can still pray and those
prayers are certainly needed. Also those wanting to donate money,
please send it to Karen of Clay Alley, She'll be using it to try to
replace some of the clay and tools that were lost. These types of
things are needed as much as household goods to give the person
something to take their mind off their tragedy. Give their hands
something to do, keep them busy and hopefully restore some sort of
stability and rest to their lives.

We want this to be a group effort, so if anyone has any ideas on
organizing this, please feel free to post them or write me, either
way. Let's give support to our claymates in need and let them know
we care.
Hugs everyone,
Bonsai Kathy
