The Last Post: The Viz Part Two The agent didn't get back with me about the job at The Viz. Ah well, accounts payable isn't really my strong suit anyway. What's been going on with me is getting the danged taxes filed. I had to go next door to Jolly's to use her printer to get the IRS form, since I have three printers all of which are broken. Ended up helping her crop and do some PhotoShop on some pictures she's using on an interface with SFSU, part of her Master's program. I forgot to get the link and she's not finished with it yet. I'll share it when I get it. The new computer is doing ok. I can get the Expression Web upgrade for $99 since FrontPage is being discontinued. I haven't read good things about Expression Web like I didn't read good things about Vista. This Vista OS is buggy. Like the browser will freeze for some reason and I have to close down the browser or restart the computer. I've downloaded what patches I could to get stuff to work, the latest was to do some tinkering under the hood to get Flash to work. It's as if MicroSoft went out of its way to make Adobe products not work with Vista without our having to jump through hoops. So hoop jumping I've done. I have two weeks to get gallery pages up for the screen shots of the old webcam demos. It's been a long slog just saving those Epson photo storage pix. Remind me to remind the ClayMates that there's just a couple of weeks left. Getting the links updated will be another big chore because they are littered all over my site. I'm wondering if I could use my search engine on my website to find those links. Like if I searched for "banana split" if I could get all the pages that mention banana splits and then go fix those pages one by one. No matter what I do it'll be a lot of work and it's been going on for months. That's just to preserve what I have. That doesn't take into consideration any new content. All this web work has given me a clay block: the trouble with the old web host starting back in January, moving to a new web host, fixing and rebuilding what didn't get backed up before the old web host erased my website three times, saving the screen shots off of Epson. I mean, really. When's a grandmother supposed to get some claying done and some new content for the website. This second Saturn return is kicking my butt.
