04-28-08: The morning started out exciting when a post to COC from Bonsai Kathy said she couldn't get my links to work. Then there was a post from Jan saying the same thing. I checked my site and it was unavailable. I checked my control panel and that was off line. I checked eMonsterHost and it was off line. Rather than get really upset I just got tired. I then thought about Ryan, the Co-Owner and Administrator of EMH and I googled until I found a phone number, EMH doesn't have phone support but all websites have to have an Administrator contact phone number. I left a message with him and told him I'm worried more about him than me at this point. I know he and who ever is working with him are running around like crazy getting things fixed. EMH doesn't have a lot of bad reports on sites that compare web hosts. That's why I picked them as a web host. In my bones I felt that it was going to be alright. Turns out that a router went wonky and they had to replace it but he wrote me back before anyone else because I let him know that I feel for him. I know he appreciates a personal connection with the customers and most customers will be angry and rude. I'm just relieved it wasn't a server. I hadn't done a back up of my website in a little while and I've added tons of new stuff. The stats for the hits and eyeballs for the site are holding strong, although I'm stunned that there's so many hits to this blog during the month. Especially since what I'm writing here is like talking to myself. I don't expect anyone to be at all interested in what mind wandering I'm doing. Ah I just figured out what's happening. Folks who visit my blog aren't checking out this nattering page. Some have checked out the photos. I don't even remember what I put there, frankly. I'm still comfortable with keeping this blog under the radar. The folks who find it, fine. But I'm not putting a link to it on all my web pages. As for what I've been doing ... sculpting heads for the BH4DO claymation section. It's been months since I did any claying and now that I've started it's taken on a life of its own. Luny said she can see a change in my face sculpting, it's "smoother". Maybe the time I spent wrestling with the website and computer was good. A bit of time to step back and let techniques ferment. 4 hours later: After doing the laundry, grocery shopping and dinner cooking (still have dishes to wash), I think I'm vertically challenged. Spaghetti does that to a body. Making the sofa look like it needs to be held down to the earth by virtue of my supine body.
