06-04-08: I exercised physically and politically since the last post. I voted and Prop 98 got defeated so rent control was protected. It was state wide. Shell shocked former home owners who lost their homes to foreclosure are now new renters. I don't understand why banks don't rent the homes to the people who can't keep up with the mortgage. It's better than letting the property go fallow, get wrecked. The community at large doesn't disintegrate by families being uprooted. 

I went back to the gym and got fingers shaken at me with raised eyebrows, "Where you been?". "I've been bad." I told them.

Obama's relatives. He's an American, mixed like the most of us.

Folks in Kenya are going  nuts. No matter which tribe, everyone shared the moment. If that's not an indication of something I don't know what is.

All I know is when Obama speaks I get goose bumps. He taps into the zeitgeist of the world, not just America. I've been reading blog comments on BBC Have Your Say and people from around the world pray that Obama can walk the walk as well as talk the talk. That's Obama's maternal Grand Father in the surf with him.

On a totally different note, no one has said a word about Ted Kennedy's failing health and Hillary Clinton's potential to be the next big fish in the Democratic Senate pond. Ted Kennedy proved that one can have more longevity and subsequent political influence as a Senator than one could hope for as President. Hillary would be well served to mend the party, throw her support behind the Democratic party's nominee, and build a network of political goodwill. Ted hasn't got long to live and Hillary has been seasoned with the run for nomination. She also has influence on a wide range of constituents. This can't go unnoticed. She's no longer just a Senator from New York, and that's no small feat. She's ventured out nationally. She's been in everyone's back yard.

Who else would be primed to work both sides of the isle to get policy pushed? All her planets in Scorpio work in her favor in this regard. Her national exposure gave her insight to each state's prevailing need. She had to be primed by staff to know what folks were concerned with the most. Every state and all the territories. That's a crash course.

I say she should go back to the Senate and settle in for the long haul. The north east seaboard needs someone at the helm.  Others think so too.

I don't think that she'd like being sandwiched between two big fat Leos (Obama and Bill), with all her Scorpio planets and then be having to interact with Michelle Obama with four planets in Aquarius. All we need is someone with a stellium in Taurus and we'd have a grand square in Fixed signs. All squared and opposed to one another.

No one has mentioned who ever is the VP they will inherit Dick Cheney's tangled web. I blogged years ago how Dick was shredding tons of paper around the Plame incident. The office of VP has metamorphosed into the wicked office of black ops. Tricky Dick found all sort of autonomy in loop holes left by indifference. After the over extension of power that this administration has allowed in the office of the VP, how do you ever close the loop hole. Got to prove it was not prudent and the change the policy. Until then the office of VP will have untold political potential. Not to mention cleaning up the skeletons in the closet of the current administration. "I must be being punished for my sins. 06-06-08: Is Obama an Enlightened Individual? Spiritual wise folks think so.
