02-09-08: 3:16am The To Do List

UPDATE: 03-24-09, what's in RED has been done.

I've been burning the midnight oil for weeks to get this website back up and working with another webhost. There's a lot more work to do.

Epson photos storage website is closing down in April 2008. There has been numerous volunteers who have stored screen shots from Demos past on their individual websites, over 600 megs of photos. All these photos have to be saved, loaded up here or on another free photo storage site and the links to those screen shots have to be edited all over this website.

Other things that need to be done:

  • Thumbnails to be replaced.
  • Monthly Highlights from May 2007 through December 2007 have to be rebuilt.
  • Links to tutorials need to be replaced on various indexes, i.e., Jewelry, mini food, etc.
  • Pictures of the Texas Thanksgiving Tour need to be loaded on this site.
  • I have to rebuild my blog, or start from scratch again. It got toasted in the move.
  • All the "Gallery" pictures have to be reloaded because they were toasted too in the move.
  • Subsites for CITY-Lists.com for other sister cities are also on my To-Do list.
  • E-commerce is coming to this site so I can support myself and support this website.

It is my intention to continue to offer free tutorials for the polymer clay and miniature community. While this website was in limbo I realized how invested I am in keeping this service available. I can't tell you how many times I reached to fetch a link to a tutorial while answering questions on CITY-o-Clay. To not have them available for myself was a shock to my system. I can only wonder what it did to the public who were used to being able to find what they knew used to be available.

What I'd like to do is create a section for beginners. I'd like to be able to find a link to basic techniques, tools, etc, for the ClayMates and not have to look around for them.

So if you're wondering where the new tutorials are, or why there's "red x" where pictures are supposed to be, or if links to Epson albums don't work, now you know.

It'll be months before things are settled so y'all have to be patient. I'm the only person working on this website and I still have laundry to do, always. LOL
